Flying a helicopter incorporates 3 different key factors: flying, navigation and observation. This three stage trail lesson will give you the opportunity to try all three and help you with the key skills needed to get your own pilot’s licence
Your lesson is preceded by a short flight briefing with an experienced instructor who will explain all aspects of the flight, including the effects of the controls and how a helicopter flies. Once airborne you will then be allowed to take the controls and actually fly the helicopter! After this, you will be a passenger for the next two flights, this will enable you to develop the skills of navigation and observation.

ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
Available on selected weekend dates, from January to December. Your total experience will last approximately 45 minutes with three, 6 to 7 minute flights. The minimum age is 12 years old. Maximum weight is 95kg (15 stone). This may not be suitable if you are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy, fits, severe head injuries, recurrent fainting, high blood pressure, or heart conditions.
